Louis Rocheleau
Vice President/Superintendent
Born in Montana, and raised in Southeast Alaska, Louis made Kodiak home by way of Jim Graham, Brechan’s previous (and highly respected) President. In the spring of 1998 Jim found Louis at a job fair in Bozeman and brought him to Kodiak as an intern. By the end of the summer Jim had offered Louis a permanent position upon graduation from Montana State University. Louis knew that Kodiak was where he wanted to work and raise a family, so in January of 1999 he returned to the island and began his career in construction.

Although Louis started out in the field growing his skills in laying pipe and paving, he has truly excelled with estimating and bidding contracts. Louis spends countless hours behind the computer analyzing schedules and calculating future and existing project costs. He works closely with large entities like the US Coast Guard, State of Alaska, Kodiak Island Borough, and the City of Kodiak. While Louis can usually be found in his office with multiple screens open to complex spreadsheets, he also jumps at the chance to go back out in the field to run the paver or help when crews find themselves short on manpower.

Louis is happily married to his wife, Maggie of 26 years and together they have 4 kids and 2 dogs. He is an avid hunter and loves spending time outdoors, exploring all that Kodiak has to offer. He also loves to travel and golf, and can often be found supporting and cheering for his kids during their activities.
